Happy 30th Chief!!!!

We didn't get to spend the week with Dustin before his birthday because my Aunt Bev passed away suddenly. The kids and I packed up on Saturday and headed to Arkansas to be with family. We made it back to Texas with an hour to spear before Dustin's birthday. That night I got our sitter Aleck to babysit and took Dustin to Cap City Comedy Club to see John Caparulo. I got us a reserved table in the front and we ate ans enjoyed the show. I even had a few great belly laughs!! After dinner and the show, we went to The Cheesecake Factory and had dessert. It was a nice evening, and a good ending to my stressful week.
The next day we took the kids to the Austin Ice Cream Festival. Dustin had done a story for work about it the day before and thought the kids would like it.

Chasing Bubbles in front of the ice cream truck.

Being new to Austin it took us 3 city blocks of walking before we found the entrance to the festival. We actually completely walked all around the festival before we got to the entrance. By the time we got in we needed to cool off. Sam really enjoyed his Cherry snow cone.

Sofia got a Bubblegum. I don't know why bubblegum is blue, but it was a good thing because her shirt is blue and anybody who knows Sofia knows that she can make a mess with anything.

Daddy and Fia cooling off under the water mister.

Waiting for their turn on the plane

Sofia went down once walking and of course busted it. She wouldn't do it again but Sam enjoyed belly sliding.

Coming down the small slide in the train inflatable.

A forced picture together before they went into the train. It's so bright that neither one of them can open their eyes!

A picture in the park on UT campus with Dad to say Happy Birthday. We went to lunch after this and then took the kids to Inflatable Wonderland which is an inside play place like Jump zone. After the Inflatable Wonderland, Dustin took them tho the Disney store and let them get a toy. I think dad missed them and enjoyed getting to spoil them on his birthday.
(There are no pics of this because my camera battery died)
We Love You Dustin and Happy 30th Birthday. Thanks for the great weekend of fun and memories.
