MAKING OF A MONSTER

We started today off with a bang. After our big breakfast of eggs and toast with jelly, we headed off to run errands and go to the "Y-berry", says Sam. (Library)
We went to order Sofia's birthday cake and Sam questioned the bakery lady about everything in the display case. She was very patient, thank goodness.
We picked out sereval good finds and Sam played games on the computer with Dustin while I finished and checked out our books. We came home, ate lunch, and had a long nap thanks to the storms that came through. Dustin got home early so we decided to make our "monsters."

As you can see our face decorations (Candies) didn't stay on the table long because we seem to have a candy thief in house. I like candies.

He helped mix in the green dye and he stirs very gently I might add.

And of course no sweet treats are complete with a good ole lick of the spoon.

We covered our treats with the melted choclates. Dustin and I did most of this because Sam is a little impatient and just coulded seem to spread it around well.

We decorated our faces. We use M&Ms for eyes and ears. Dots for the neck bolts and worms for the mouth. We let them harden in the fridge.

Sofia got to enjoy her treat without the face on. She got more on her than in her mouth.
Once they hardened we added hair and pupils . Sam got to tell us types of hair and which candies were their eyes.

We had sideways faced (bottom right), curly hair (top middle) and even a three eyed monster (top left). And now for the best part:

HOW TO PROPERLY EAT A MONSTER:
STEP 1: Lick hair and pupils off.
STEP 2: Pick eyes off, eat quickly so your little sister doesn't try to steel them
STEP 3: Slurp the worm, it goes down easier
STEP 4: Gobble the neck bolts........................and
STEP 5: Nibble the body.
Happy Halloween!
