Dustin and I have had a lot of change the last week for sure. A few months ago we discussed moving and getting new jobs. The reason was to get out of debt and get a head. We both prayed for change and help. For God to give us opportunities and to help us. So here we are.
Last Tuesday Dustin received a offered to be the Chief photographer at KEYE Austin. What an awesome opportunity for him to advance his career and open doors. We both lost a lot of sleep last week, staying up late talking about what to do. He had til friday to decide. Thursday we decided to say yes and that we would head to Austin to check it out. Our initial reaction was to say yes and if the doors didn't open, he could decline this week. Well, the doors were OPEN.
We looked at several places to live, and have narrwed it down to 2. We met the news director and station manager and both were great and very helpful. I was offered a job at Cedar park Regional in Labor and Delivery/ Nursery Full time today.
At the begining of last week, I was anxious and fearful. After a long talk with my grandmother and God, I left it all in his hands. The opportunities await in Austin. God has provided for us and we are taking a HUGE leap of faith in his arms.
I will miss all of NWA, especially all of our great friends that have helped us through the hard times. The hardest is being farther away from our family. Our family has been very supportive and understainding of this opportunity.
The bad news is that we will be in longhorn country. My kids WILL NOT wear burnt orange.
The good news is that we are just going to rent out house in Fayetteville, so if we hate it, we can kick out the renters and move home!!!

Wow~what big news! When I saw the title, I thought you were going on vacation! Although I hate to see you guys leave the area, it sounds like a great opportunity for you both. And I'm glad you're keeping your house just in case!:) I'm also so glad that your kids will not wear burnt orange!LOL I wish you the best of luck & plesae keep blogging!
I'm cracking up about the burnt orange!! That was the first thing Scottie said when I told him..."Dustin's going to have to wear orange for work!!" I'm so excited for you guys as you begin this new chapter in your lives.
We can't wait to hear how your move went. I catch myself checking out my window every morning when I open the curtains to see if you are at work or not. :( Sure is quiet around here! Love you guys!
