We then proceeded to Oaklawn. We meet up with some good friends from Fayetteville and had a great day. As you can see, we picked the wrong day to go...it was snowing! At least we were prepared because when we left the Hill we had snow on the ground.
We did win a few races, I myself won $13 thanks to Mr. Grumpy Stripes, but Dustin felt obligated to bet on every race and used my $13, and we came out under $15. Not bad for first timers.
After the race, we went to Rocky's, order the famous pizzas and waited. It reminded me of the wait at Tims. The pizza was good and worth it.
We stayed at the Spring Hotel and walked downtown to find some night life but we ended up just going back to the first place, Capone's.
I wish we had more time to enjoy the history of the town, but we had to make it back up the Hill to work on Monday...blah.
